Prior to reset the printer must be in a state of SERVICE MODE. The trick read the following steps.
1. Turn off the printer by pressing the power. Do not unplug the power cord

4. Then release both buttons simultaneously, then the printer will be in the Service Mode.
Your computer will detect the new hardware. Ignore it. Download the latest service tool v.3400 (remove the check mark next to the writing Download with ziddu accelerator and get recommended offers in order not to turn into exe)

Prepare a few sheets of paper in the printer
Run the service tool v.3400
The clear menu select the main black ink counter then set the printer will print one sheet
The ink absorber counter menu select the main color then set
Click eeprom, the printer will print one sheet (if it can not ignore it to 6)
Select auto then start printing print test pages print wait until all of the menu is complete
Turn off your printer and then live the Back and Your Printer Ready to use
Run the service tool v.3400

I'm interested in your service tool for resetting the waste ink counter. Do you have a similar tool for the Canon MG4250 (I tried your v.3400, but it does not work).
